Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days

Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days

Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days, better known as Fiesta, gives locals a chance to celebrate the city’s heritage. The cheerful Spanish dancers and colorful attire light up the streets with liveliness. “The Spirit” of Fiesta is what locals try to preserve and continue year after year. fiesta_poster_t479

The Fiesta celebrations began in the year 1924, when Santa Barbarans decided they wanted to create an annual event to entertain and attract visitors. Locals wanted to highlight the heritage of the Spanish who settled in Santa Barbara and began building the city.
